During the buying or selling process the following steps will be taken:

 

Orientation; We discuss your wishes, give you information and together decide on the buying or selling price.

 

Advice; We give advice on price, the possible follow-up of a sale and other relevant issues.

 

Attention; We advertise your wish to buy or sell on our website, in trade journals, papers and within our network. 

 

Visiting ships; We give possible buyers a tour of the ship and examine whether the ship meets the demands.

 

Negotiations; We supervise the entire process of negotiating a financially and technically appealing agreement for both buyer and seller.

 

Contract; We draft a buying or selling agreement for the involved parties containing details on delivery, delivery date, financing and other relevant issues.

 

Inspection; We supervise technical inspections of hulls on shore by appraisal agencies or safety inspections by the Inspectorate for Transport, Public Works and Water management. We also supervise testing of the main motor (bow propeller, generators etc.)

 

Appraisal; We order a complete report of the ship made by an official and independent appraiser including a market evaluation.

 

Notary; We transfer the deed of sale to a notary after all inspections are completed and necessary repairs have been made. The notary will draft the deed of transfer and, if needed, a deed of mortgage, and have them signed by the involved parties. Delivery has been made as soon as signing and payment are done.

 

Settlement; We can aid in the settlement of the ship’s papers, such as the transfer of the tonnage certificate, bilge book, certificates and the log of the sailing hours.
